Ingredients

  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1 cup - white Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 1 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 4 cups - pitted sour Cherries
  • 1/2 cup - white Sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups - cherry juice
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • How to Make Cherry Dump Pudding:

    1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
    2. Grease a 10x10-inch baking dish.
    3. In a large bowl combine flour, salt, baking powder and one cup sugar and stir.
    4. Add butter, milk and vanilla essence. Beat in an electric mixer for two minutes, or until smooth.
    5. Pour mixture in to baking dish and cover evenly with cherries.
    6. Heat cherry juice in a microwave or in small saucepan until it just simmers.
    7. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of sugar over cherries, and pour hot cherry juice on top.
    8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
