Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken
  • 1 tbsp - ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp - Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp - corn flour
  • 1 tbsp - gram flour
  • 2 green chillies (chopped)
  • Curry leaves, a few
  • Salt as required

How to Make Chettinad Spicy Chicken Fry

  • Cut the chicken into small cubes and clean well.
  • Rub the chicken pieces with lemon juice, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, beaten egg, garam masala powder, corn flour, gram flour and keep aside for at least 1 hour.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the marinated chicken pieces till golden brown.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
  • Add chopped onion, chopped green chillies, curry leaves and saute well.
  • Add this to the fried chicken and mix well.
  • Chettinad chicken fry is ready to be served.
