Ingredients

  • 1kg - part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 3 tbsp - sooji
  • 13 to 15 tbsp - Sugar
  • 15 to 20 - Raisins
  • 15 to 20 - Cashew nuts
  • 3 to 4 - small green Cardamoms
  • How to Make Chhena Poda with Raisins and Cashew Nuts:

    1. Preheat the oven to 325 F.
    2. Put the ricotta cheese and sooji in a container and knead thoroughly using a hand blender.
    3. Fry the cashew nuts in a little oil so that it browns a little. Be careful not to overcook.
    4. Add the cashews and all the other ingredients into the cheese mixture and mix thoroughly.
    5. Grease the baking dish with some butter and transfer the batter into the baking dish.
    6. Bake it for 60 to 90 minutes until the top turns light brown.
    7. Cool it after taking it out from the oven.
    8. Cut into 2 x 1 inch squares and serve.
