  • 200 g - French beans
  • 1 Orange
  • 200 g - Tomato
  • 1 cup - boiled chick peas(channa)
  • 1 tbsp - fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tbsp - Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp - Lime juice
  • 1 tsp - garlic, chopped and crushed
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • How to Make Chick Peas and Beans Salad:

    1. Cut the beans into 3 cm long pieces and steam till tender, but crunchy.
    2. Grate the orange rind and then squeeze the juice.
    3. Cut tomatoes into halves and discard the seeds. Chop the flesh into 1 cm cubes.
    4. Combine beans, tomato, chick peas and basil together. Toss in the orange rind.
    5. Prepare the dressing by mixing olive oil, lime juice, garlic, 3 tbsp of orange juice, salt and pepper.
    6. Just before serving, pour the dressing over the salad and toss.
