Chicken curd gravy is a delightful combination of chicken with curd gravy. It is popular non vegetarian dish which is served as main course curry dish in India.

The recipe is famous throughout India and is a favorite non veg comfort food for the chicken lovers. The dish is easily made by stewing of chicken in gravy. It doesn't take much time to prepare once the ingredients are ready.

  • 3/4 kg - Chicken
  • 2-3 - medium Onions
  • 1 small bunch - Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tbsps - ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 litre - Curd
  • Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Chicken Curd Gravy:

    1. Wash the chicken and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt to taste.
    2. Mix everything well and keep aside to marinate for 15 mins.
    3. Then heat oil in a kadai, add finely cut onions and the curry leaves. Saute.
    4. Then add the marinated chicken to kadai and stir well for about 5-10 mins.
    5. Add the curds and stir to form a thick gravy for about 10-15 mins.
    6. Once cooked, garnish with coriander leaves.
    7. Serve hot with hot rice or chapattis.
