Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Chicken cut into medium-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp - Fenugreek seeds powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 3 - green chillies, slit
  • 2 tsp - chopped Garlic
  • 2 tsp - chopped Ginger
  • 3 onions, sliced finely
  • 3 tbsp - Vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil

How to Make Chicken Curry In Pickle Masala

  • Marinate the chicken with chilli powder, cumin powder, mustard powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder, vinegar and salt and keep aside for one hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic till golden brown.
  • Add the marinated chicken and fry well for 5 minutes.
  • Add one cup of water and simmer on low heat with the lid on till the chicken is tender and the gravy is thick.
  • Serve with rice or chapattis.
