  • 2 - onions
  • 4 - green chillies
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp - pepper
  • 2 tbsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp - garam masala powder
  • 3 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 4 - tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - olive oil
  • 1 - lemon
  • Salt as required
  • 1 lb - boneless chicken meat

How to Make Chicken Curry in Tomato Gravy

  • Marinate the chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, a little of the chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder. Keep it aside for about an hour.
  • Heat oil/ butter in a pan.
  • Fry onions till it turns golden brown.
  • Then add ginger garlic paste, green chillies and the remaining of the turmeric powder, chilli powder and the coriander and chilli powder. Fry for some time.
  • Then add the tomatoes and a little water. Cook till it becomes pulpy.
  • In another pan, heat butter/oil. Add the marinated chicken and saute for some time till the chicken is partly done.
  • Now add the sauteed chicken to the gravy which you had prepared and let it cook for 5 mins or till it is done. Add salt.
  • Garnish with coriander.
