Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1 - medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp - garlic, minced
  • 1 - medium tomato, chopped
  • 750 g - chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 2 cups - water
  • Seasonings:
  • 2 tbsp - Yogurt
  • 4 - fresh green peppers
  • 1 tbsp - Coriander seeds
  • 3 cm - piece Cinnamon stick
  • 6 - Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Chicken Curry with onion:

    1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
    2. Add chicken pieces, tomato and the seasonings. Stir well and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
    3. Add water. Cover and cook until the chicken is done.
    4. Serve hot with rice or roti.
