Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken, cut into medium pieces.
  • 2 - onions, sliced finely
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - garlic paste
  • 2 - large tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • To taste - salt

How to Make Chicken In Tomato Gravy

  • Heat oil in a pan. Saute the chopped onions and garlic, till golden brown.
  • Add chicken, chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well.
  • Cover and cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Add half a cup of water and simmer on low heat, till the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
  • Serve hot with rice, bread or chapattis.
