Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Green chillies - 12
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes -3 pureed
  • Onions -3 finely chopped
  • Curry leaves - 1 tbsp
  • Mint, coriander, kasuri Methi (ground) - 2 tbsp
  • Red Chilli powder - 1.5 tsps
  • For Kurma masala:
  • Poppy Seeds -1/2 tsp
  • Dry Coconut powder - 2 tbsp
  • Khaju, badam, Kismis - 1 tbsp each (grind all the above to a fine paste)
  • Thick curds - 1 cup.
  • How to Make Chicken Kurma with garlic:

    1. Heat oil in a pan.
    2. Fry the onions along with green chillies till they turn golden brown.
    3. Add chicken pieces, turmeric and salt after a while.
    4. When chicken is half cooked, add chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and green masala paste, tomato puree and stir well.
    5. Add kurma masala paste and mix well. Add one glass of water, curds and cook till the gravy thickens. Serve.
