Chicken masala fry is a non-vegetarian recipe hugely popular in Punjab region of North India. The recipe is spicy and delicious.

This Indian recipe is loved by chicken lovers for its unique taste and is eaten as a side dish. You can learn how to make it at home especially for house parties or as a weekend recipe to enjoy in the comfort of your home.

The chicken pieces are deep fried and coated with spicy masala that makes it stand out. The recipe is completely dry so you will need some chutney or sauce to accompany it with. The chicken recipe takes minutes to cook in a pan and tastes awesome with some company.


  • 1/2 kg - Chicken
  • 100 g - small Onion
  • 10 flakes Garlic
  • 50 g - Garlic
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • Salt
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • How to Make Chicken Masala Fry:

    1. Heat oil in a pan. Add grated small onion and green chilli; fry till golden in colour.
    2. Add ginger and garlic paste and fry till it is brown in colour.
    3. Add chicken and fry till it loses all the moisture
    4. Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and sprinkle some water and cook for 15 mins
    5. Garnish with coriander leaves.
