Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Chicken sliced into medium pieces
  • 1 cup - Sliced Big Onions
  • 4 - Split Green Chillies
  • 3 - Sliced Tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - Oil
  • Grind Together:
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 inch piece - Cinnamon
  • 4 - Clove
  • 1 pod - Garlic
  • 2 inch pieces - Ginger
  • 10 - Dry chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp - Aniseeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 sprigs - Curry leaves

How to Make Chicken Masala

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Saute onions, tomatoes and green chillies separately and keep aside.
  • Saute the ground masala in the remaining oil.
  • Add chicken pieces and salt.
  • Add sufficient water to cook the chicken and close the pan.
  • When it is done, add the sauted onions, tomatoes, green chillies and curry leaves.
  • Remove from fire. Serve with rice
