Ingredients

  • 1 packet - spaghetti
  • For the chicken meat balls
  • 500 g - chicken, minced
  • 1 - onion or shallots, finely chopped
  • Green chillies as per taste
  • 200 g - bread crumbs
  • 2 - egg
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tbsp - ginger minced
  • 1/2 tbsp - garlic minced
  • Cheese grated
  • Oil for frying
  • For the sauce:
  • 250 g - Tomato paste
  • 2 - fresh tomato, finely chopped
  • Green chillies as per taste
  • 1 tsp - red chilli paste or tobasco as per taste
  • Oregano
  • 2 tbsp - tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp - ginger and garlic minced
  • Salt as per taste
  • Freshly, crushed pepper
  • Oil for cooking
  • Freshly chopped coriander, for garnishing

How to Make Chicken meat balls with Spaghetti (Asian style)

  • For the spaghetti:
  • Boil water with salt and oil in it.
  • Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook until it turns al-dente.
  • Drain the spaghetti in a colander and place it over cold running water.
  • Keep aside to drain.
  • Meat ball preparation:
  • In a bowl mix together minced chicken, onion, chillies, salt, eggs, bread crumbs and minced ginger and garlic.
  • Mix well and prepare 1 inch balls out of this.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry in medium heat until they turn golden brown.
  • For the sauce:
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  • Add the onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Saute until onion turns transparent.
  • Now add the tomatoes and the tomato paste. Fry until the tomatoes are fully done.
  • Make a sauce mixture by adding water to the tomato sauce, soy sauce and red chilli paste or tobasco, whip well and then add this sauce mixture to the tomatoes.
  • Season with salt, pepper and oregano
  • Now add all the meat balls and let this simmer until you the get the sauce of desired consistency.
  • Once done turn off the heat and serve it hot over the spaghetti. Sprinkle some chopped coriander on the top of the meat balls.
