Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Onion - 2
  • Shallots - 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli - 4
  • Ginger - 20 g
  • Garlic - 10 cloves
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 4
  • Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut oil - 1/2 cup
  • Whole garam masala (ground):
  • 2 - cardamom
  • 2 - cloves
  • 2 inch - cinnamon

How to Make Chicken Olath

  • Clean and cut onions into medium pieces. Crush ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  • Pressure cook chicken adding onion, all the powders, crushed masala, salt. Cook it for one whistle.
  • In a kadai season curry leaves, add coconut and saute till its half done.
  • Then add shallots and cook till it turns brown
  • Now add cooked chicken in it and cook till oil separates.
  • Finally put the ground garam masala powder.
