Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Onion - 2
  • Shallots - 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli - 4
  • Ginger - 20 g
  • Garlic - 10 Cloves
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 4
  • Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut oil - 1/2 cup
  • Whole Garam Masala (ground):
  • 2 - Cardamom
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 2 inch - Cinnamon
  • How to Make Chicken Olath:

    1. Clean and cut onions into medium pieces. Crush ginger, garlic and green chillies.
    2. Pressure cook chicken adding onion, all the powders, crushed masala, salt. Cook it for one whistle.
    3. In a kadai season curry leaves, add coconut and saute till its half done.
    4. Then add shallots and cook till it turns brown
    5. Now add cooked chicken in it and cook till oil separates.
    6. Finally put the ground garam masala powder.
