Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - boneless Chicken
  • For the marinade:
  • 2 tsp - Lime juice
  • 1/4 cup - Curd
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger - Garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp - Papaya paste
  • 2 tsp - Vinegar
  • 1 tsp - kasuri Methi powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 2 tbsp - salad oil
  • A pinch - red food color powder
  • salt to taste
  • For the batter:
  • 1 - Egg
  • 150 g - Maida
  • 200g - Channa flour
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup - Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Chicken Pakoras for A Rainy Day:

    1. Mix the ingredients for marinade and marinate the chicken pieces for 2 hours.
    2. After 2 hours, remove the chicken from the marinade and keep aside.
    3. Mix the ingredients for the batter along with the marinade, salt and water to a fine paste.
    4. Dip the chicken in the batter and deep fry till done.
    5. Serve with mint chutney.
