Ingredients

  • 1 - whole Chicken
  • 4 - whole Garlic Cloves
  • 10 cups - water
  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 1 tbsp - salt
  • 1 tbsp - pepper
  • How to Make Chicken Porridge (Dak Jook):

    1. Wash rice and soak in water for more than 2 hours. Drain well.
    2. Clean the chicken and cut excessive fat.
    3. In a big pot, place the chicken and whole cloves of garlic. Let it simmer for 2 hours.
    4. Take out the chicken and shred the flesh.
    5. Meanwhile, put rice in a pot with the chicken stock and boil until done.
    6. Stir occasionally.
    7. Add shredded chicken and add salt and pepper.
    8. Serve hot.
