Chicken samosa is a very popular non-vegetarian snack made with chicken filling inside a samosa shell. The Indian recipe is a world popular recipe for its unique style of cooking and taste.

In fact, samosa is one of the most loved street foods of India. Everyone loves this delicious snack and you can also learn how to make it to enjoy in the comfort of your home. This dish is an evening snack in many parts of India, especially in Kerala.

The samosa shell is stuffed with chicken and onion filling. It is then deep fried in oil and cooked till crisp. The soft inner shell with filling and the crisp outer shell make it for a great snack. Have the chutney ready to satiate your taste buds more!

Ingredients

  • For the filling:
  • 2 cups - Chicken (cooked and shredded)
  • 4 - onions, (finely chopped)
  • 6-8 - green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup - Coriander leaves
  • For the samosa cover:
  • 2 cups - Maida
  • Salt
  • Water
  • How to Make Chicken Samosa:

    1. For the filling: Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions, chillies, ginger garlic paste with turmeric and salt till soft.
    2. Finally add the cooked and shredded chicken and saute for a few more mins and add in the coriander leaves.
    3. Remove from flame.
    4. For the samosa:
    5. Knead maida with enough water to get a smooth dough.
    6. While rolling, dust with rice flour to get crisp samosas.
    7. Stuff filling in the rolled out roti and fold like samosa.
    8. Deep fry in hot oil.
