How to Make Chickpeas curry

  • Soak the chick pea in water for about 8 hours and cook in a pressure cooker up to 3 whistles.
  • Roast coriander seeds, red chillies, cinnamon, clove and fennel without oil in a heavy pan.
  • Add the grated coconut and roast.
  • Allow to cool and grind with water to fine paste.
  • Make a paste of the onion and tomato.
  • In a pressure cooker, add 2 tsps of oil, curry leaves, onion-tomato paste and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cooked chick pea and ground paste, salt and stir.
  • Again cook up to 1 whistle.
  • Add fresh coriander.
  • It goes well with chapatti, dosa and rice.
