  • 12- ripe chikus
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 200 g - mava, sieved
  • 4 tbsp - ghee, melted
  • a few melon seeds and almond slivers

How to Make Chiku Halwa

  • Peel, core and mash the chikus gently.
  • Dissolve the sugar in water and make a thick syrup.
  • Add the chiku puree, mava and ghee into the syrup and fry lightly. Do not use too much heat or over-stir.
  • Pour into a dish and sprinkle with nuts. Allow it to cool.
