Ingredients

  • 4 - Garlic poppadum
  • 2 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 1 Clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 225 g - lean minced Mutton
  • 1-2 green chillies, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - mild chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - Tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp - ground Turmeric
  • 1 tsp - ground cumin
  • 2 tsp - coriander
  • 1/2 tsp - paprika
  • 400 g - chopped Tomatoes
  • 225 g - red kidney beans, boiled
  • To garnish: chilli peppers (optional)

How to Make Chilli poppadums with mince

  • Brush one side of each poppadum lightly with oil. Place them one at a time, with the oiled side on top in a plate.
  • Cook on high for 45-50 seconds, or until puffy. Place the remaining oil in a heatproof casserole dish, and microwave on high for 30 seconds.
  • Add the garlic, onion and minced meat, stir well and cook on combination 220 degree c/medium for 8 minutes, stirring twice.
  • Add the chilli, chilli powder, tomato puree, turmeric, cumin, coriander and paprika. Stir and microwave on high for 1 minute.
  • Add the tomatoes and microwave on high for 5 minutes, stirring 2-3 times.
  • Add the beans, cover and cook on combination 220 degree c/low for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with the poppadums.
