  • 1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • A pinch of Chinese salt
  • 2 tbsp - Vegetable oil

  • How to Make Chilli Shrimp:

    1. Marinate the shrimp in tomato sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, Chinese salt and salt for 1 hour.
    2. Add corn flour to the beaten egg and make a fine mixture. (The mixture should not be very thick.)
    3. Remove shrimps from the marinade (reserve the marinade), shake off any excess, and dip it into the corn flour mixture.
    4. Heat oil in a frying pan and drop in the shrimp. Cook on medium heat till golden brown.
    5. In another pan, heat some oil and saute garlic, onion and chillies.
    6. Fry them till onion turns a little brown.
    7. Add the shrimp and the reserved marinated, and cook for 4-5 minutes.
    8. If the gravy is not enough, you can add some more tomato and soy sauce to the shrimp, but do not use water.
    9. Then cook for another 5 minutes in medium heat.
    10. Serve immediately with fried rice.
