  • 4 cups - Milk
  • 4 tsp - finely sliced china grass
  • 5 tbsp - Sugar
  • 4 tbsp - Cream
  • A few drops - essence of your choice
  • 4 tbsp - finely sliced mixed nuts
  • A few - whole candied Cherries
  • A few drops each - various food colours
  • How to Make China Grass Pudding with Nuts:

    1. Dissolve china grass in 1/2 cup water over a slow fire.
    2. Also dissolve sugar in milk over a slow fire.
    3. Add china grass to the milk, bring to a boil and remove from fire.
    4. Cool, mix in nuts, essence and cream.
    5. Put the mixture in individual glass ice cream cups.
    6. In each cup add a few drops of different food colours.
    7. Set in a cool place or in the fridge to set.
    8. Decorate each cup with a whole cherry and serve chilled.
