Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 1 large
  • Marinade:
  • Cornflour - 2 tbsp
  • Maida - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Beaten Egg - 1
  • Soya sauce - 1 tbsp
  • For Sauce:
  • Oil - 3 tbsps
  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies - 6
  • Spring onion - 1/2 cup
  • Celery chopped - 1 cup
  • Capsicum - 1 large
  • Chilli sauce - 1 tsp
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
  • Soya sauce - 2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  • Ajinomoto - a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Chinese Cauliflower Manchurian:

    1. Cut the cauliflower, put the florets in salted boiling water.
    2. Drain and mix well with the marinade ingredients. Keep aside for 15 mins.
    3. Deep fry the cauliflower in sufficient oil. Keep aside.
    4. To prepare the sauce, heat oil, fry chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies for a minute.
    5. Then add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
    6. Add capsicum and cellery and saute for a minute.
    7. Now add all sauces, salt and a cup of water.
    8. Add the fried cauliflower in it and cook for 2-3 mins.
    9. Finally add corn flour mixed in a 1/4 cup of water and cook in high heat for about 5 mins.
    10. Then sprinkle sugar and garnish with chopped spring onion.
