How to Make Chinese Style Prawns
In a small bowl, mix all the sauces and keep aside.
Clean and devein prawns. Wash well and drain out water thoroughly. Marinate prawns with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Cover and keep aside for half an hour.
Heat oil in a pan. Add cubed onion and fry until light pink colour.
Add chopped garlic and fry till colour lightly changes.
Add capsicum and fry for 2 - 3 minutes until it softens.
Add sauce and mix well. Do not add water when cooking. Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 2 - 3 minutes.
When the sauce boils nicely, add marinated prawns. Cover again, cook on a low heat for 5 - 7 minutes until done or till the prawns are well-cooked and pink in colour. Serve hot with noodles / fried rice.
