Ingredients

  • 1 cup - chiroti rava
  • 1 cup - white flour
  • 1/2 stick - butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • water as required
  • 2 cups - powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp - powdered Cardamoms
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1 tbsp - Rice flour
  • oil as required

How to Make Chiroti

  • Mix the rava, flour, butter, salt and water to prepare a soft dough. Keep aside for 2 hours for the dough to rise.
  • Add cloves and powdered cardamom to the powdered sugar. Mix and keep aside.
  • Melt the ghee and add the rice flour. Make a paste and keep aside.
  • Make lemon-sized balls of the chiroti dough.
  • Press them into thin rotis (like chapathi).
  • Take 3-4 rotis at a time, spread them with rice flour paste and place them on top of one another.
  • Press a little and roll them into a cylindrical shape.
  • Cut into 1-inch pieces. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Press the pieces into puris and deep-fry until light brown.
  • When done, sprinkle the sugar powder over the fried puris (on both sides).
