Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - butter, softened
  • 1 cup - white Sugar
  • 1 cup - cherries, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup - chopped Walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp - unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • How to Make Chocolate Cherry Drops:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
    2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
    3. Blend in the egg and vanilla essence.
    4. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture.
    5. Finally, mix in the chopped cherries and walnuts.
    6. Drop spoonful of batter on to the prepared cookie sheets.
    7. Bake for eight to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
    8. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for five minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
