Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - butter, softened
  • 1 cup - white Sugar
  • 1 cup - cherries, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup - chopped Walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp - unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp - salt

How to Make Chocolate Cherry Drops

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Blend in the egg and vanilla essence.
  • Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Stir into the creamed mixture.
  • Finally, mix in the chopped cherries and walnuts.
  • Drop spoonful of batter on to the prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake for eight to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for five minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
