Ingredients

  • 1 cup - maida
  • a pinch - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - baking powder
  • 4 tbsp - cocoa
  • 5 tbsp - hot water
  • 75 ml - milk
  • 3/4 cup - powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - butter
  • 2 eggs

How to Make Chocolate Fudge Cake

  • Mix Maida with salt and baking powder.
  • Mix cocoa with hot water. Add milk and 1/4 cup of sugar.
  • Mix well and cook slowly till the mixture is like custard. (Avoid over cooking) Add the essence. Allow to cool.
  • Beat butter with remaining sugar.
  • Add the egg yolks one by one, beating well after each addition.
  • Fold in the Maida alternately with the cooled sauce.
  • Gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in a moderate oven (180 degrees centigrade ) till done. (About 30 minutes).
