Ingredients

  • 2 cups - flour
  • 2 cups - Almonds or pecans, finely chopped
  • 6 ounces - semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup - Butter
  • 1 cup - powdered Sugar
  • How to Make Chocolate Glazed Shortbread Cookies:

    1. Cream butter and sugar. Gradually add flour.
    2. Stir in half of the nuts.
    3. Chill dough for 1 hour.
    4. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
    5. Form dough into a 2-inch long fingers.
    6. Cut in half lengthwise and place cut-side down on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    7. Bake for 15 minutes or until a pale golden brown.
    8. Cool on a wire rack.
    9. Melt chocolate.
    10. Dip one end of cookie into chocolate, then into nuts.
    11. Cool on wax paper until set.
