Ingredients

  • 115 gms - Butter
  • 70 gms - Sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 145 gms - Refined flour
  • 30 gms - Cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp - Milk
  •  
  • Butter Cream:
  •  
  • 85 gms - Icing Sugar
  • 45 gms - Butter
  • Vanilla flavouring 
  • How to Make Chocolate Layer Cake:

    1. Sieve flour, baking powder and cocoa.
    2. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
    3. Add eggs one at a time followed by 1 tbsp flour.
    4. Fold in remaining flour.
    5. Add milk to get a dropping consistency.
    6. Put into 2 tins and bake at 175 degrees C for 25-30 mins.
    7. When cold, fill with butter cream and decorate with remaining cream.
