  • 1 cup - chopped chocolate

How to Make Chocolate meringue cookies

  • Beat together egg whites, salt, and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  • Add the sugar gradually, beating to the peaks. Mix in the chocolate.
  • Spoon in rounded shapes on baking sheets lined with greased brown paper.
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 25 minutes.
  • Cool slightly before removing from paper.
