  • 2 cups - all purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 cup - butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup - white Sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 150g - packaged bittersweet chocolate bar with Almond nougat, chopped
  • 1 cup - chopped hazelnuts
  • How to Make Chocolate Nut Biscotti:

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease and lightly flour a cookie sheet.
    2. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
    3. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy.
    4. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
    5. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in chocolate and nuts.
    6. Divide dough into two equal parts.
    7. On a floured surface, shape dough into two logs, 14 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 1 inch thick.
    8. Place them two inches apart on prepared cookie sheet.
    9. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
    10. Remove to a cutting board. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
    11. Cut into .75 inch thick diagonal slices and place them back on the cookie sheet, standing upright.
    12. Bake for 10 minutes more or until slightly dry.
    13. Cool completely on wire racks.
