Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - flour (maida)
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 - unbaked nine inch pie crust
  • 2 tbsp - Butter
  • 3 oz - unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup - Sugar
  • 1 cup - dark Corn syrup
  • 1.5 tsp - vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cup - Pecans
  • 1/2 tsp - salt

How to Make Chocolate Pecan Torte

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Melt butter and chocolate together in a double boiler and set aside.
  • Meanwhile mix sugar, salt, and flour, in a separate bowl.
  • Stir in syrup and eggs.
  • Add melted butter and chocolate.
  • Add vanilla and pecans and blend all ingredients.
  • Pour into an unbaked pie shell.
  • You might want to use a quiche pan for serving ease.
  • Bake one hour or until firm to the touch.
  • Cool and serve.
