How to Make Chow mein

  • Boil and drain the noodles.
  • Heat oil and pour in slightly beaten eggs. Cook until set. Remove from pan.
  • Cool and cut into strips.
  • Reheat pan. Add oil and fry crushed garlic, sliced leeks, shredded bamboo shoots, cabbage, mushrooms, salt, sliced ginger, and shredded meat.
  • Add stock and soya sauce blended with corn flour. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • In another pan, fry cooked noodles in deep fat for about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer it on to a hot dish.
  • Garnish with egg strips and pour meat mixture over noodles.
