Ingredients

  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1/2 ounce - Brandy
  • 200g - Butter
  • 1 tbsp - Cardamom powder
  • 10 - eggs
  • 250g - Flour, Gram/Channa Atta
  • 5g - Ginger preserve
  • 3 tbsp - Milk
  • 50g - Plums, large
  • 100g - Rava/Sooji
  • 1 tbsp - Rose water
  • 500g - Sugar

How to Make Christmas Cake with Brandy

  • Clean and cut all the plums and almonds into small bits.
  • Wipe them and dip them in dry flour and remove.
  • Cream the butter and sugar and keep aside.
  • Separate the whites and yolks of the eggs and beat well.
  • Now add the beaten yolks to the butter and sugar cream.
  • Then mix the sooji and flour gradually to this mixture.
  • Add Baking powder, cardamon powder, milk and rose water
  • Now add the beaten whites slowly and mix well. Then add the plums and almonds.
  • Line the tin with buttered paper and pour the cake mixture up to three quarters of the tin.
  • Bake in an oven until the skewer comes out clean.
