Ingredients

  • flour (maida) - 2 cups
  • Butter - 1/3 cup
  • powdered Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • baking powder - 2.5 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Milk - 1/3 cup
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • To Sprinkle on Top:
  • 1 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Cinnamon powder

How to Make Cinnamon Biscuits

  • Beat butter and sugar together till light.
  • Combine flour with salt, baking powder and cinnamon powder and stir into the beaten mixture alternately with milk till well blended.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured board to about 1.5 cm thickness.
  • Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a greased baking tray.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top.
  • Bake in a mode oven (180 degrees centigrade) till light brown; about 15-20 minutes.
  • Cool and store in an air tight container.
