Ingredients

  • 250g - refined flour/maida
  • 2 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Nutmeg powder
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 3 tbsp - Butter
  • 300g - Sugar
  • 100g - powdered Sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 litre - Milk
  • oil for frying
  • 1/4 tsp salt

How to Make Cinnamon Doughnuts

  • Sift the flour with the salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together.
  • Add the eggs and mix well.
  • Add the milk and flour and mix to a thick batter.
  • Heat oil and drop a tablespoon of batter at a time and fry till brown.
  • Drain on an absorbent paper and then roll in the powdered sugar.
