Ingredients

  • 250g - refined flour/maida
  • 2 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Nutmeg powder
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 3 tbsp - Butter
  • 300g - Sugar
  • 100g - powdered Sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 litre - Milk
  • oil for frying
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • How to Make Cinnamon Doughnuts:

    1. Sift the flour with the salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    2. Cream the butter and sugar together.
    3. Add the eggs and mix well.
    4. Add the milk and flour and mix to a thick batter.
    5. Heat oil and drop a tablespoon of batter at a time and fry till brown.
    6. Drain on an absorbent paper and then roll in the powdered sugar.
