  • For dough:
  • 2 eggs, well-beaten
  • 4 cups- plain flour
  • 1 packet- Dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp- salt
  • 1/4 cup- Sugar
  • 1/2 cup- Milk
  • 1/4 cup- melted Butter
  • 1/4 cup- warm water
  • For filling:
  • 3 tbsp- melted Butter
  • 1 cup- Sugar
  • 1/4 cup- Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp- Cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cup- chopped Walnuts
  • For icing:
  • 3/4 cup- powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp- vanilla essence
  • 3 tbsp- Cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp- Milk
  • How to Make Cinnamon Rolls with Walnut Filling:

    1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water and keep it for 10 minutes. Sift the flour and salt together, and keep aside. Heat the milk, and just before it comes to a boil, add salt, sugar, and butter.
    2. Stir it well and let it cool till it is lukewarm.
    3. Add the yeast mixture in milk and keep it for another 5 minutes.
    4. Add beaten eggs in the milk.
    5. Add flour mixture slowly to the milk, stirring to form a smooth dough.
    6. Cover and keep in a warm place for 2 hours; the dough should double.
    7. Punch down, and let it rise again for about 45 minutes until nearly double.
    8. In a small bowl, mix together sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon powder.
    9. Roll the dough out into rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
    10. Brush the dough with melted butter.
    11. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over it. Top with chopped walnuts.
    12. Roll the dough from top edge to bottom edge.
    13. Pinch the ends to seal.
    14. Cut the roll into 10 to 12 slices.
    15. Place them 6 at a time on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    16. Bake for about 20 minutes or until light brown.
    17. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients of icing.
    18. Beat with electric mixture till fluffy.
    19. Drizzle the icing over the top of each roll.
