Ingredients

  • 2 cups - clams
  • 1 cup - chopped Potatoes
  • 1/4 cup - chopped Capsicum
  • 1/4 - chopped Celery
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • 1/4 cup - chopped Onion
  • 1/4 tsp - pepper
  • 4 cups - water
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1 cup - fresh Cream
  • Salt as per taste
  • How to Make Clam Chowder:

    1. Boil clams in 2 cups water till cooked.
    2. Remove clams, and retain the stock.
    3. Chop the clams.
    4. In another 2 cups of water boil potatoes and celery till tender.
    5. Heat butter in pan.
    6. Saute onion till transparent, add capsicum and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
    7. Pour vegetables and its stock.
    8. Also add the clam stock.
    9. Bring to boil, simmer for 5 minutes on slow flame.
    10. Add clams, salt and pepper.
    11. Add milk and cream.
    12. Bring to simmering point.
    13. Serve hot.
