  • 3/4 cup - Egg substitute
  • 1/4 cup - low fat plain yogurt
  • 1.5 cups - light Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp - melted Butter
  • 2 tbsp - Canola Oil
  • 1.5 tsp - vanilla
  • 1 cup - all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup - cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/3 cup - powdered Sugar
  • Margarine or vegetable oil

How to Make Cocoa Brownies

  • Beat the egg substitute and yogurt with the brown sugar until quite frothy.
  • Beat in the butter, oil, and vanilla. Mix until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  • Sift the dry ingredients together and use a whisk to stir them into the wet ingredients. Do so gently by hand until just mixed.
  • Lightly oil a 7 x 11 pan and spread the batter out evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until a skewer comes out dry or with a little crumb.
  • Let it cool completely before cutting.
  • Sift a little powdered sugar on the top after cutting but before serving.
  • Top with a scoop of your favourite low fat or fat-free frozen yogurt.
