Ingredients

  • 1 cup - fresh grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup - powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 1 to 2 tbsp - mixed dry fruits (raisin, cashew, almond)
  • 1 to 2 tsp - ghee/butter
  • 1 to 2 tsp - milk powder

How to Make Coconut Burfi with Dry Fruits

  • Mix coconut and sugar and leave aside for half an hour. The coconut would start to leave some water.
  • Heat a kadai and pour the mixture into it.
  • Saute on low flame until the mixture blends well.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, except ghee and mix well.
  • Grease a plate with ghee and pour the hot mixture into it.
  • Spread evenly on the plate and let it cool for a while.
  • Cut into desired shape when still warm, else you would'nt be able to cut into pieces properly.
  • Garnish with dry fruits and elaichi powder.
  • Cool and store in air tight containers.
