Ingredients

  • 1 cup - shredded fresh Coconut
  • 1/3 cup - gram dal
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • 1/4 cup - water
  • For seasoning: 1 tsp - oil
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 4-5 Curry leaves finely chopped
  • 1 pinch - Asafoetida
  • How to Make Coconut chutney with green chillies:

    1. Grind coconut, dal, chillies, salt and enough water together till smooth.
    2. Heat oil, splutter the seasoning ingredients. Pour the mixture over the chutney.
    3. Mix gently.
    4. Serve fresh with dosas, idlis, upma, utthapams, vadas, etc.
