How to Make Coconut-Coriander Fish Fry

  • Marinade the fish with lemon juice and salt and keep aside for 40-45 minutes.
  • In the meantime, put the grated coconut, chopped coriander, cumin seeds, garlic and chillies in a mixer grinder along with 2 tbsp of water and make a fine paste.
  • In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of curd with a pinch of salt.
  • After marinating the fish, remove the extra juice from the plate. Rub the fish pieces with curd and cover one side of the fillet with the coconut-coriander paste.
  • Heat a tbsp of oil in a wide bottomed pan, add the fish pieces with the covered side down. Cover the other side with the coconut-coriander paste.
  • Pan-fry for 3-4 minutes on each side on medium heat or until golden brown.
  • Garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
