Ingredients

  • 1 bowl - Fresh Green peas
  • 3 - Medium-sized onions, sliced
  • 2 cups - Rice
  • Salt - to taste
  • 3-4 tbsp - Oil
  • 2 tsp - Jeera
  • For grinding:
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • 10 - Green chillies
  • 1-inch piece - Ginger
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 cup - Grated Coconut (or half a Coconut)
  • How to Make Coconut Coriander Pulao:

    1. Wash the rice and keep aside.
    2. Grind all the ingredients for grinding together.
    3. In a pan heat the oil and add jeera.
    4. Once it splutters add the sliced onions.
    5. Add the green peas once the onions turn golden brown and fry for two minutes.
    6. Then add the ground paste and fry well for a few minutes.
    7. Now add the washed rice and keep stirring for two minutes without adding water.
    8. Add required amount of water and salt and allow the rice to cook.
    9. Serve hot.
