  • 300 g - desiccated Coconut
  • 1 tin - condensed Milk
  • 200 g - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 4 tbsp - Ghee or Butter
  • 1 cup - chopped Almonds or Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup - milk.
  • How to Make Coconut Fudge:

    1. Melt the sugar with the milk and condensed milk in a thick bottomed vessel.
    2. Add the desiccated coconut and mix well.
    3. Cook until the coconut is soft.
    4. Now add the chopped almonds or cashew nuts, vanilla essence and ghee and mix well.
    5. Simmer on low heat till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the vessel.
    6. Pour onto a greased plate and decorate with a few almond slivers.
    7. Let it cool then cut into squares.
