Ingredients

  • 1 cup - split dhalia dal (putnalu)
  • 3/4 cup - dry shredded Coconut
  • Red Chilli powder to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 2 Cloves - Garlic
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Coconut masala powder:

    1. Take the dhalia dal in a mixer and grind into a fine powder without adding any water.
    2. Add dry coconut, chilli powder and salt and grind for about 30 seconds.
    3. Add cumin seeds and garlic and grind for 10 seconds.
    4. Store it in a dry airtight container. Serve with dosa, idli or rice.
