Ingredients

  • 4 cup - Milk or 1 pack - Coconut Milk diluted to get 4 cup of Milk
  • 2 cup - Basmati Rice or any other raw Rice
  • 3 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 2 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp - oil, or Ghee or Butter
  • 2 - onions, sliced finely
  • 3 - Cardamoms
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 stick - Cinnamon
  • 1 - Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp - all spice powder / Garam Masala powder
  • How to Make Coconut Pilaf - Palau:

    1. Heat oil or ghee in a vessel or rice cooker.
    2. Add the cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and spice powder and saute for a few mins
    3. Now add the turmeric powder, salt, washed rice and 4 cups of coconut milk and cook on low heat till the rice is done.
    4. Serve with ball curry or chicken curry.
