Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - Chicken cut into small pieces
  • 4 - Onion cut length wise
  • 3 - Tomatoes cut
  • 4 - green chillies, cut lengthwise
  • 1 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to saute
  • How to Make Coimbatore chicken:

    1. Wash chicken and keep aside.
    2. Heat oil in a non-stick kadai, add the onions. When they brown, add the tomatoes and the ginger-garlic paste.
    3. Once tomatoes are cooked, add the chicken, pepper powder, salt, cook for 5-7 mins.
    4. Add the green chillies and cook till it tender.
    5. The curry can be cooked until it turns dry or semi dry.
    6. Goes very well with rotis / plain rice / kushka rice.
