Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - colacacia root/arvi
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Colacacia Side Dish:

    1. Cut colacacia into small cubes.
    2. Boil colacacia with salt in sufficient water till soft.
    3. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till they turn golden brown.
    4. Add chilli, coriander, turmeric and cumin powder and fry for a while. Finally add boiled colacacia and mix well.
    5. Simmer on low heat for about 5 or 6 minutes
    6. Serve as a side dish with rice or chapattis.
