Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - colacacia root/arvi
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil

How to Make Colacacia Side Dish

  • Cut colacacia into small cubes.
  • Boil colacacia with salt in sufficient water till soft.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till they turn golden brown.
  • Add chilli, coriander, turmeric and cumin powder and fry for a while. Finally add boiled colacacia and mix well.
  • Simmer on low heat for about 5 or 6 minutes
  • Serve as a side dish with rice or chapattis.
