Ingredients

  • Colocasia - 1/2 kg
  • Salt - to taste
  • Asafoetida - to taste
  • Chilli powder - to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Besan - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • How to Make Colaccasia Roast:

    1. Steam colaccasia in a cooker. Turn the gas off when the first whistle comes and let it cook in the steam until done.
    2. Cool it for some time, peel and then cut into cubes.
    3. In a plate, take salt, asafoetida, chilli powder, turmeric powder and besan, and mix the powders well.
    4. Sprinkle this on the cubes and leave aside for 10 minutes.
    5. In a non-stick pan heat oil, add mustard and urad dal and splutter.
    6. Add the colaccasia and cook on low fire.
