  • 1 - egg yolk
  • 1 dessert spoon - vinegar
  • 1 dessert spoon - warm water
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • black pepper
  • mustard powder
  • a pinch salt

How to Make Continental Mayonnaise

  • Put the egg yolk and seasonings into a bowl. Gradually beat in the oil, drop by drop, stirring all the time until the mixture is thick.
  • When you find it creamy stop adding oil, for too much will make the mixture curdle.
  • Beat in the vinegar gradually, then add the warm water.
  • Use when fresh.
